Description: Maxfield Parrish’s “The Lamp Seller Of Baghdad “ - Original Period-Framed 1923 Edison Mazda (current General Electric Co.) Cropped Calendar Top. The image measures 11 1/8”x 7”, outermost frame dimensions are 12 5/8”x 8 1/2”. Excellent condition and color. (Doesn’t get much netter). The original period Parrish frame is great. Parrish’s MP signature bottom right corner (photo #9). Originally painted in 1922 for the 1923 issue. A (95% reduced) copy of the reverse side (photos 14 & 15) is included in the back pocket (photos 21, 22 & 23). It is backed with 2-ply acid-free cotton rag backing, new hardware and dustcover, April, 2024, and ready to hang. This is the 6th (of 17) that Parrish did for Edison Mazda. Note: The first 18 photos are taken without glass to avoid reflection/glare issues, Photos 19( slight angle) thru 22 after completion of project. (Ref. Flacks 4th Ed., page 70, last photo #24).
