Description: May 1960 edition of THE GUIDE - TENNESSEE HOTEL AND TOURIST GUIDE.Volume 13, Number 12, (31) pages, semi-glossy paper, 6" x 9". This publication is (64) years old and in pretty good condition. The print, colors, and graphics are still vivid and clear. The (2) staples are still intact, no loose pages. There are a few areas of stains. There are no rips, tears, no odors of food, perfume, or tobacco. On the cover is Alice Lon Wyche (1926-1984). She was a singer, dancer, and known as the "Champagne Lady" on the Lawrence Welk Show. Also on the cover is actor Hugh O'Brian (1925-2016). The center pages, (16-17), feature Nikki Joy, who was a burlesque performer in the 1950's and 1960's. NOTE: I can't find any information about Nikki Joy, her stage name. I've spent hours researching. Several people, some in the burlesque business, have had no success in finding information about her. Apparently she was from the Dallas, Texas area and performed at Jack Ruby's Carousel Club in the early 1960's and other clubs around the country. I welcome any information about her.
