Description: Meiji Bill Monroe 1974 Laughlin Old Time Black Stars #31 PSA EX-MT 6 Bill Monroe started his career just after the turn of the century, and the N.Y. Giants' John McGraw said he would have starred in any league. Rube Foster called him the greatest ballplayer of them all. The second baseman began with the Philadelphia Giants in 1903, then played with the Quaker Giants and Brooklyn Royal Giants. Joining Foster's American Giants in 1912, he was a key figure on that club for three years, but died in 1915.
