Description: Memoir James Jackson Jr. 1835 American Doctor medical memoir author inscribed (old Books, 19th Century Books, Americana, Medicine, Memoirs, James Jackson Jr). A Memoir of James Jackson Jr., M.D. with Extracts from Letters to His Father; and Medical Cases, Collected by Him. Published 1835, Boston by I.R. Butts 444 pages. Text in English. Publisher's plain cloth binding. Scarce early American medical book. With an early inscription from the author to Wm. Appleton, Esq. Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Binding well age worn, spine cloth heavily chipped and loose, joints cracked, covers loosened, remains overall attractive as an object. Text block paper is gently toned, light to moderate scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound. Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Please review photos for more detail showing how this antique book survives. The asking price reflects the condition based on our examination and 35+ years full time exposure to antiquarian books. Flaws seen and described have been taken into account. Book Measures c. 9 1/2" H x 6 1/8" W. [B3458].
