Description: Micro-Metrics OG204 Tooke Paint Inspection (Gauge IV) The MicroMetrics OG204 Tooke Paint Inspection Gage IV is a precision tool designed for inspecting and measuring the thickness of single or multiple coats of paint on various substrates. The OG204 Tooke Gage allows direct measurement of total coating thickness for individual paint layers. It adheres to ASTM D4138 standards. It serves as a referee instrument, often used to calibrate indirect or non-destructive thickness measuring devices. The gage can assess substrate conditions, coating adhesion, microscopic cracking, brittleness, cratering, and other film defects. Surface contamination and wettability can be visualized using the illuminated microscope. It’s virtually the only tool suitable for measuring on plastics. Additional uses include assessing sandblast cleaning work, measuring plating and paint thickness on ceramics, metal, wood, concrete, and even protective backing thickness on mirrors.
