The little blue flowers are called forget-me-nots and were a popular symbolism theme in the 1800s.The micro mosaic is set in 800 silver (the silver standard of the time) and dates from the late 1800s Victorian era. The micro mosaic portion of the ring roughly measures 24 mm in diameter at the widest points. There is minimal tesserae loss in the mosaic that I can detect (the tiny handmade glass tile pieces). The micro mosaic has been mounted on a new 925 sterling silver ring setting. The ring is a USA size 7. There are a few missing and/or recessed pieces of tesserae in the micro mosaic, but I think they are difficult to see (see photos). There are minor imperfections in the silverwork on the micro mosaic itself (see all photos).
