Description: this beautiful side table is something special! it's mid-century modern at it's innovative and minimalist finest! the apron under the table top is strategically "cut away" so depending on how you glance at the table it appears that the surface is "floating" above the base is it magic or is it pure genious?! you decide! created by Jens Risom, Denmark, in Walnut, this piece is the one to have if you can only have one, or if you're just starting to collect mid-century, it goes well with anything and will fit nearly anywhere you put it! It looks like this piece originally had brass caps on the feet and they've at some point been removed or fallen off but they're not hugely noticeable as missing and i'm sure those are the easily replaced part of this item should you feel it necessary to "shoe" this filly! i like the side cut of the table as well, there's something interesting and thought provoking no matter which way you view it from the side, it's got a the dimple of the bottom of a bow tie cut into the apron. so one direction it's floating and the other it's withdrawing upwards almost like it's arriving and departing from the mothership above! measurements on this table are: 24 inches long by 18 inches deep and 23 inches tall Other than the surface stains shown in the tabletop photograph and a few minor scratchses and a couple of small paint flakes where it rubbed on the wall, this piece is in overall generally excellent condition and has been maintained in a non-smoking and humidity controlled home so the wood is still viable and not all dry rotted out! pick up only from NYC location
