THE KID IS CERTIFIED TO UL1741 & UL458 (MARINE SUPPLEMENT) With the UL458 marine supplement, THE KID meets very strict vibration, environment, and thermal requirements. The marine versions can be cut into the wall for a flush mount assembly and also comes with a marine mounting bracket. AGS (Auto Generator Start) The Kid is the first charge controller in the industry to feature a two wire Automatic Generator Start (AGS) as standard equipment. The KID detects when the generator is running by simply watching battery voltage over time. No extra wires or voltage sensing is required making installation a snap. Lighting Controller The Kid has a fully adjustable intelligent lighting controller built in. It can turn lighting on at dusk for a select number of hours, turn it off for a length of time and then back on for a programmable number of hours before dawn. All time functions are fully adjustable, allowing users to save valuable energy. An additional feature in the lighting controller allows you to adjust the voltage needed on the PV module for the Kid to register "daytime". This is important if you are using the Kid for a solar street light and the lights are located above the PV modules. Most controllers would end up leaving the light off all night, but not the KID! The KID's HyperVOC feature allows up to 162VOC. (The KID will not be harmed by voltages between 150 and 162VDC (this is the HyperVOC range). The KID will remain in standby until the voltage is 150v or below. Exchanges or Returns Please contact us before returning or exchanging an item to receive a return authorization (RA). Items returned to us without receiving a return authorization will be returned to you at your expense. We accept exchanges and returns for unopened items or damaged/defective products within 30 days of receipt of shipment. A 20% restocking fee may apply to multiple quantity returns or large ticket items. A 20% restocking fee will apply for all products that ship freight. Exchanges and returns are not accepted after 30 days of receipt of shipment. Unopened Products To make an exchange or return for an unopened product, please contact us and obtain a Return Authorization. If the exchanged or returned product is unopened with all original accessories, manuals, packaging, and/or shrink wrap, you will be responsible for return shipping. If the product was sold with free shipping, shipping charges to deliver the item will be deducted from the refund amount. A refund to your method of payment will be processed within one week of receiving an authorized return minus any applicable shipping charges. Damaged/Defective Products To make an exchange or return for a damaged/defective product, please contact us and obtain a Return Authorization. If the product is returned for being damaged/defective, we will provide a return shipping label for domestic shipping costs. If we test and confirm the product is damaged/defective and receive the product along with all original accessories, manuals, and packing, we will provide a refund for the purchase price of the product, plus domestic shipping charges, if any, assessed at the time of purchase. International shipping charges, if any, will not be reimbursed. A refund to your method of payment will be processed within one week of receiving an authorized return.
