The walnut wood is a little dry. The previous owner didn't oil or condition the wood. An easy fix. The only issue needing attention is the joints are loose. Another fixable issue. No cracks or splitting or damage at all to the walnut chair base just, the loose joints. Not unusual for a recliner chair of this age. Easily fixed by an expert.
