Description: Vintage Regal hot peanut vending machine from Minneapolis, Minnesota is a rare find for collectors. It is an original piece from the 1940s, made of high quality. Its working light at the top with a key make this a perfect fit for any collector. This piece is great for those interested in vintage vending machines and the history of American manufacturing. The machine was made in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is a unique addition to any collection. I have never tried putting a nickel in. It looks like this machine would need a good scrubbing and some oil to free it up more. If some care was used to clean it up from the inside, I am sure it could be in good working condition again one day. It is really nice to have the light working right off the bat, as well as having a key. The cord is approximately 7 feet, 3 inches long. Various imperfections/scratches & scuffs in the paint of the base, including the logo on the glass globe. **This machine has multiple flaws. Itβs missing the metal plate at its base. The center rod that would allow you to lock the top red plastic cap onto the machine is also missing. So, the cap and key just rest on the top. There is a crack down the red plastic cap as well as a crack on the glass globe, towards the bottom. The inside of the globe is very dirty still and could be cleaned better, but a person would have to unscrew the square bolt in the center to be able to remove the glass globe. I have not done this. Please see the photos for the complete description. Approximate Measurements Height: 15β Base Length & Width: 7β X 7β Weight: 8 pounds, 8.3 ounces
