Description: Mint 1970's Penco A-240 12 String Acoustic Guitar w/Martin Case. Not all “lawsuit guitars” are equal. Some of the guitars that came from the exact same factories were cheap and poorly put together, while some equaled or even bested their originals. This guitar is the latter. Its a beautiful example of the quality that came out of Japan in the 70’s. Solid spruce top. Ebony fretboard. Rosewood and mahogany. All original. Huge sound. The pictures with the quarter are at the 7th and 12th fret, for action reference. This guitar has very even action, zero fret buzz, and plays very nicely. This nut appears to have been adjusted with a shim. I believe the previous owner did it. It still has the original (11) strings that came with when I got it, so I’m not sure if its glued or floating but it is solid, as I have never had a reason to adjust it, because, as stated previously, it plays very nicely. I just never play it. Somebody should. This guitar is in “like new /open box”, and “near mint” condition. Its got a couple of dings and scratches (see pictures for details) but this guitar is in amazing shape for a 50 year old guitar. A 9 out of 10 at least. Comes with a CFMartin 12 string hard shell case (listed at $299).
