Description: Original autograph of Rocky Marciano from 1969 here, with dated proof and a detailed Letter of Authentication. "NCO Club International" drink coaster from Ramstein Air Base in Germany was signed by the former Champ on the evening of April 16, 1969, where he was in town to entertain the troops. The autograph on the reverse is extremely neat and quite bold, done with a black ball-point pen. It is perfectly centered within the disc. The coaster measures four inches across and is in Near Mint condition. Also includes NCO Club April 1969 event guide, which has lots of photos of musicians and comedians who appeared the previous months, as well as upcoming stars (from Slim Whitman to The O'Jays). One page has a picture of Rocky, announcing his appearance on the night of the 16th. The booklet is 62 pages and measures 6 x 8 inches; VG condition.Marciano was in Germany for ten days in April of 1969, touring GI clubs, shaking hands, meeting the troops and discussing his tremendous career in the ring. He even brought films of his famous battles with Walcott, Charles and Moore. This signature was acquired about 4 1/2 months before his fatal plane crash on August 31st. I can't image there is another of these around anywhere......Please note: I have been buying genuine Rocky signed pieces since 1987 and can easily authenticate his autograph.
