Model A Ford Zenith Carburetor Double Ventue Brass Levers 1928 Early Test(DZ)

Description: Selling an original Zenith carburetor made for Model A Ford cars and trucks over 90 years ago. This is a very nice early Double Venture carburetor. The bowl has Zenith with no number and an early roll feature on bottom and a pinned boss on the front, unused boss on back indicating an early 1928 production, but will run fine on all 4 years of production. The top has a "Z" on the throat and large plug on back throttle boss. It was bead blasted, passages cleaned and painted judging correct flat black gas proof paint. I then cleaned, threads and jets checked, parts replaced as needed, and float checked for leaks and set properly. Most of the original jets are installed. I have installed a new gaskets and screen on original brass nut. I have also used a New, original style teflon seat float valve. I have used as many original parts as possible to keep cost down and maintain some sort of originality. It has a correct brass throttle and choke levers, large head idle adjust needle 1/2 inch bowl bolt. It has a 7/16 housing and brass GAV choke driver. After rebuild it was test run on my 1928 Tudor, nice acceleration and idle. This is a fairly rare carburetor and runs very well. Note that use of an air filter likely will cause engine to run rich, Ford did not put these on from the factory.
