Model A Ford Zenith Carburetor Holley H Double Venture Brass 1928 Test Run (DH1)

Description: Selling an original Double venture Zenith carburetor made by Holley of Detroit for early Model A Ford cars and trucks over 90 years ago. The bowl casting has a pinned boss on back, raised "H" on top and bottom, and has no feature around drain plug on bottom, indicating very early 1928 production, but will run fine on all 4 years of production. It was bead blasted, passages cleaned and painted judging correct flat black gas proof paint. I then cleaned, threads and jets checked, parts replaced as needed, and original float checked for leaks and set properly. I have installed a new Teflon seat original style float valve, idle jet and double venture. I have used as many original parts as possible to keep cost down and maintain some sort of originality. It has correct brass choke and throttle levers, brass steaked GAV choke driver, large head idle adjust needle, 1/2 inch bowl bolt and brass nut on filter screen. It also retains most of the original jets. After rebuild it was test run on my 1928 Tudor, nice acceleration and idle. Note that use of an air filter likely will cause engine to run rich, Ford did not put these on from the factory.
