Description: Montgomery NY: 1863 STAMPED COVER, BACKWARDS "N" and "Y" ON ORIGINATING POSTMARK Mailed Feb. 6, 1863 from Montgomery NY to New York City. Note the interesting originating postmark, where both the letters "N" and "Y" in "N.Y." are backwards. I think the postmaster must have had a sense of humor? Size of cover is 3-1/8 x 5-1/4 inches.
