Moskvich Tomato Seeds | Heirloom | Organic

Description: (Semi-Determinate/60 days) Moskvich loosely translates to “person who lives in Moscow” and is a Russian heirloom tomato from the 1970’s. It is one of the first to produce in the spring and the last to stop producing in the fall due to its excellent cold tolerance. The fruit are bright red, 4-6 ounces, and are delicious. This is a fantastic choice for northern growers with short seasons. Do not plant out until 2 weeks after last frost. Tomato seeds require high soil temperatures for good germination rates. We highly recommend heat mats to ensure and speed up germination. Pot up to 3–4 inch pots when first true leaves develop (not cotyledon leaves). Harden off plants for 1-2 weeks in full sun before transplanting them outside (after last frost). Make sure to give tomato plants a lot of space for vigorous root and foliage growth.
