Description: Alaska Railroad SD70M Diesel Engine Boxed Set - With Proto-Sound 2.0 - Cab # 4003 SD70 MAC Diesel and Alaska 4-Car Streamlined Full Length Vista Dome Passenger Set My appologies in advance due to buyer questions, but if you are not already an O scale electric train enthusiast familiar with the MTH or Lionel remote controlled engines this may not be the Engine and car set for you. This is not a ready to run set. This is an MTH Premier line O scale locomotive with 4 passenger cars. Premier line is the MTH top level O scale line of trains that are very close to scale and very detailed. No track or power supply was ever included with this set when sold by MTH. This runs on 3 rail 42 inch radius track like the Lionel O scale trains which are run on 18 volt AC power. It will run without the MTH DCS, but the power supply must be the type with Horn and Bell buttons in order to control the Protosound functions of the engine, or the MTH Remote Commander and power supply. MTH lists compatible power supplies with horn and bell buttons that will control the engine. This set is lightly used in excellent condition. New 9 volt rechargeable battery for Proto-Sound backup installed. New traction tires on front truck wheels. Rear truck wheel traction tires in good condition. 2 spare traction tires included. Engine tested with MTH DCS Command system for control of speed, direction, couplers and audio announcements. Smoke unit has not been run. Unopened smoke fluid included. 2 of the passenger cars have small and very minor scuff marks on one side that are visible up close. Photos show scuffs, but they are very hard to see unless you zoom in. Ship to US addresses only. No exceptions.
