Description: This vintage book is a collection of 19 prints of Modern Western Art from the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow, Soviet Union published in 1938. Originally, it featured 32 color plates of art masterpieces by Manet, Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Matisse, Derain, Marquet, DeVlaminck, Bonnard, Vuillard, Signac,and Picasso. There had originally been a pamphlet as well. The 19 existing prints mounted on heavy matte paper with a light paper printed cover are from Andre Derain (2), Auguste Renoir (2), Albert Marquet, Paul Gauguin, Paul Cezanne (3), Maurice DeVlaminck, Pablo Picasso, Pierre Bonnard, Vincent Van Gogh (2), Henri Matisse (2), Jean-Edouard Vuillard, Paul Signac, and Claude Monet (2). The reproductions of the paintings themselves are in very good condition. The first cover paper has $30.00 written on it. The second cover paper has a tear. There are some various signs of wear on the cover paper as this is a very old book. The actual cover is dirty from many years of use. It is in functionally good shape. It is embossed on back "origin Soviet Union" and the inner cover says "printed in Soviet Union" on the lower half.
