N SCALE SEAGRAVE 1950's OPEN CAB FIRE TRUCK ENGINE 3D PRINTED UNPAINTED

Description: Someone contacted me about older apparatus, check out my other auctions cause I'm putting out a bunch of new older pieces going back to horse drawn. These units will look great as a flat car load, sitting in a fire station, parade or in some cases around a larger business. Seagrave began what became known as the Anniversary Series in the early 1950s and continued to build them well into the 1960s. This was a conventional style truck with a distinctive siren mount in the nose of the hood. The series came in a number of variants, closed and open cabs, pumpers, ladders, and tractor drawn tiller ladder model. Pumper was also offered with an enclosed "sedan" option. These trucks soldiered on into the 1990's. I remember one bitterly cold morning in Charlotte NC when I heard the distinctive sound of the front mounted mechanical siren coming up Hwy 16. I watched it pass as the full cab pumper with two firefighters clinging to the tailboard and looking possibly frozen roared past. I was at a captain's retirement some years later and he mentioned riding one of these when it was running as a reserve out of Station 13. He suspected he was riding the tailboard when I saw this. This is a Seagrave classic open cab pumper. I'll be adding more as time permits. Some flash removal is required, Some models will require basic assembly.
