Description: Rarely available, An original pair of Vintage Neumann KM53 Omni Tube Microphones. The KM53 uses the same capsule as the M50 and it is very different from a KM54. The KM54 is very impressive sonically but the KM53 is ridiculous! The M-50’s were designed to be flat on the low end at a distance of 12 to 15 feet so if you speak directly into to a 50 it sounds a bit thin but step back and it sounds huge. The KM-53 sounds huge one foot away, amazing low end and phenomenal clarity! Overhead drums, Room mic’s, Acoustic guitar, Stereo percussion, Brass groups and of coarse Overall orchestra mic’s. These are a matched pair and in excellent condition. The last pair of M-50’s I saw for sale sold for 60K. The KM53 has the Same tube & Same capsule.These are being sold as a pair with their original mic boxes and a new dual power supply.
