NEW Replacement Atlas Horizontal Milling Machine Kick Out Part # M1-64 & MF-14

Description: New Iron Machine & Design LLC is proud to offer our new production Table Feed Kick-Outs Part #s M1-64 & MF-14 for the Atlas Horizontal Milling Machine. Often missing, these parts were found on all models with power table feed. This kick-out was modeled in CAD using the original production blueprints from Atlas/Clausing. All key dimensions [such as overall protrusion length and the angles and dimensions of the surfaces that engage with the roller on the Table Feed Gear Lever Assembly (Part #M1-62)] are retained. Outside of these key surfaces, the rest of the part is redesigned to make use of the complex shapes that can be created in CAD and created using additive manufacturing. The body of the part is made with your choice of modern polymer that is built around steel bolt mated with a steel T-nut to lock the kick-out in position on the table during operation. Per Atlas Bulletin MMB-5 Dated October 1962, MFC models only use part #M1-64. All other models (MF/MFA/MFB) use part # MF-14, so select your part to match your machine. After selecting your part #, The kick out has three configuration options to choose from: Adjustment Type, Polymer Type, and Color Adjustment Type: The Wrench-Adjustable Type uses a hex/Allen wrench to lock/unlock the kick-out in position, similar to the original design's use of a hex nut that had to be loosened on the original. This adjustment type is required if you are using Part # M1-61 Support Arm Lock Bar and need the kickout to pass under the bar during operation. The Quick-Adjustable Type uses a clamping handle for quick repositioning of the lock-out. When pulled forward, the handle rotates freely to move out of the way of work and tooling; when released the handle is engaged and can quickly tighten or loosen the kickout for quick positioning. However, the handle projects out farther than the factory part and cannot pass beneath the M1-61 Support Arm Lock Bar during operation if it is installed. Polymer Type: Both designs are built around a steel backbone of a steel bolt mating into a steel T-nut that rides in the table front T-slot. PET is the standard option: it is a very strong and durable polymer that comes in a variety of colors and more than exceeds the strength required of the part. The other option is carbon-fiber nanoparticle reinforced polycarbonate. This is an incredibly stronger polymer that can only be considered "overkill" in this application. Because it is based around carbon fiber nanoparticles, it only comes in a carbon gray color. It is offered as an extra cost option for those who demand the strongest material possible. I guarantee that you will be quite pleased with the performance and functionality of this part.
