The ball-and-cup design allows the mirror glass to be adjusted independently of the "bullet" housing. Two-bolt mount (screws included) does not require access to the back of the panel for installation. If you do have access to the back side of the panel, we recommend sourcing bolts and nuts to install these instead of using the included sheet metal screws. These are designed to be door mounted, but they could also be used on some fenders if they have a flat surface.
