This unit uses a Fair-Rite FT80-43 toroid wrapped in a 49:1 configuration with 20 gauge enameled copper wire. In the past 2 years we have sold over 2500 of the larger transformers to some very happy customers. Check out the feedback!Typical installations use about 66 feet of wire (anything from 12-26 gauge) attached to the wing nut connection and at least 25' of coax to the BNC connector. (the coax is part of the antenna). You can expect to achieve a 1.5:1 SWR or less across all of the harmonic bands. 40-20-15 and 10 meters. NO TUNER NEEDED! This is great for portable operation such as POTA or SOTA. The case measures 2 X 2 3/8" X 7/8"(minus connectors).
