This is a new and genuine product. The Montblanc 2020 Patron of Art Edition Moctezuma I Fountain Pen honors the great ruler with a luxurious design inspired by elements of Aztec culture. The overall design takes the image of an 'atlatl' and features lacquered-metal construction with colors inspired by the royal cloak and accented by Champagne-tone gold-coated trim. The barrel is lacquered in carmine red while the cap features an ornate pattern beneath translucent petrol lacquer. The cone is based on the shape of an Aztec sacrificial knife and has a hammered finish after the obsidian blade. The cap is decorated with two hieroglyphs symbolizing Moctezuma I's reign and has an arrow-shaped clip set with a red stone. The medium nib is 18K gold with a special engraving.
