The stone is a genuine ruby from the Naissa mine in Mozambique, and the setting is sterling silver, stamped 925. The ruby is a deep red. It is an 10X5mm marquise cut, and weighs 1.4cts. As with most natural rubies, this stone does have some inclusions, and has been fissure filled for beauty and stability. The sterling silver setting is decorated with silver swirls in an open-work design. The setting measures 3/4 inch in length. This ring weighs 3.7 grams.
