Description: For sale is a Medium Jug from Nicholas Mosse Pottery Ireland in the Red Tulip pattern. Standing a bit over 6" high, the Medium Jug has a cream glaze accented butterscotch glaze on the bottom and interior. The exterior is hand decorated with a lattice work of green leaves and red tulips. The classic gourd shape pitcher has a small foot, heavy handle with rosettes at the body and a graceful spout finishing slightly below the rim. This piece is in very good condition with no damage or wear. The bottom indicates the vase was probably only used for display (photograph 7). There is heavy crazing over the entire piece (photograph 12). Marked in black on the bottom for Nicholas Mosse Pottery. Made in England.
