Description: THIS IS NOT NEW. eBay listing system WOULDN'T let me call it anything different. But it's great condition. THIS IS AN ODD ONE TO ME BECAUSE I CAN'T FIND INFO via THE ALL POWERFUL INTERNET, so...It's RARE. Dug from my storage boxes. Origin not remembered. STARKIST Charlie the Tuna originated in 1961. This was made in Hong Kong, back before China took over the manufacturing world. And it shows a U.S. Patent number. A search of that Patent number came up blank (for my effort). I have successfully reached out to Starkist for a history, and recently received a response, after their researching it, provided me with very detailed patent info and the inventor (not Starkist). It's about 1978-79 and was labeled as a ""Tuna and Egg-Salad Mixer"", intended to mix while minimizing smooshing the ingredients into a paste, like doing it with a fork will do. I'll provide a printout of what they sent me to the Buyer. I feel if there are none to be found, someone is obviously looking for it and would want to add it to their impressive collection. Well, here it is. Will you ever find another one, especially in this condition?!!! Great graphics. Can still work as intended. I'm not too sure about the metal used vs food contact, but if it's RARE and Collectable, I'm likely not using it to make lunch for grumpy kids. And since it's RARE and unknown to modern Internet, I have no reasonable notion of value, so I'm just gonna try. It does need to be in a collectors hands if it's that RARE, and not in a Rubbermaid container in my attic. Pictures also show how it attaches to the bowl similar to how a food processor top rotates into slots of it's bowl. Please feel free to share your knowledge about it. Maybe I'm not researching it well enough. ****My usual eBay listing statement shown below, for those who like to read: Smoke/Pet free home. I only ship to Continental USA Addresses usually via USPS. Sorry for the USPS' bloated rates nowadays. Not my fault!!! Shippers calculate rate from my East Coast home address to yours. I also return excess shipping $$ costs in case efficient packaging or dynamics that affect postage changes. I don't profit from calculated postage. Please inspect pictures and ask questions if needed or for additional pictures. I'M NOT AN eBUSINESS. I treat everything I sell and its Buyer as if it were me. Meaning, I intend to treat you as I would want to be treated!!! And, as soon as you pay for it, it becomes your personal property that I'm responsible for how I treat it, so I try to do what's right. I don't/can't do returns or refunds because I'm trying to adhere to my wife's wishes to downsize as we get older, not to bring things back here, so please please ask before committing. Yet another reason I try to conduct these transactions properly. Please consider looking at my other listings for more things. I have much more to list as I get to them, only scratched the surface. I can combine for your savings when combining makes sense and hopefully doesn't affect rates too much. We can work with each other on that. YOUR ADDITIONAL SAVINGS COME FROM BUNDLING WITH OTHER ITEMS. Thank you for your time reading all this stuff.
