Officer Candidate School White Back Patch WWII Original OCS

Description: The Patch: This auction is for One WWII Original Officers Candidate Schools patch with a white back. This patch has been used and is in good condition. It has a very nice white backing. This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic. The History: The OCS insignia was approved on June 4, 1941. When it was approved it was believed that just under 3600 officer candidates would wear it at 13 schools durign each quarter through 1942. The war caused an increase in this figure as more officers were needed and enlisted men and warrant officers attended the schools. The normal training period for officers was three months and only the highest caliber candidates were to be recommended for the schools. Please read my auction requirements.
