Description: Old Paris Porcelain Hand Painted Floral & Gold Coffee Cup & Saucer 1817 - 1825 A Very pretty Old Paris / Vieux Paris porcelain coffee cup and saucer with relief molded scrollwork edge. Nicely decorated with hand painted flowers in pink, white, yellow, purple, orange, and blue. With gold gilding along the edge, to the relief molding. Unmarked. President Monroe (1817 to 1825) had a set of plates ordered from France with the same relief molded scrollwork border ordered. Has wear to the gilding, but no chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 2 3/8 inches tall. The sugar measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide.
