Old Siletz Basket, Double Handle, Parallel Dark Rings, Northwest Coast

Description: Old Siletz basket with double handle, pair of parallel dark rings around the basket. Made by a member of the Siletz tribe, with ancestral territory spanning western Oregon, SW Washington State, and northern California. The basket is 9 1/2 inches tall to the top of the handle and about 7 inches in diameter at the basket opening. Time has taken a bit of a toll on the shape of this basket - the double handle is askew and has a "wavy" rim (see pictures). Still, a nice, solid old Siletz basket.
