Description: Original cartoon by the noted Victorian/Edwardian Illustrator R Jasper Weird. The cartoon was produced with pen and ink /grey watercolour and is sized 12.5 x 8.5 inches. Drawn for Punch magazine, 1906. The piece is signed by the artist beneath the image. To the rear is written"Child about to be seized by a lion. I dash forward, grab lion's tail, huge effort - drag him back and fasten his tail in a knot round tree - mother's screams awful".
