He studied at the Cleveland School of Art and served in France with the American Army during World War I. He completed his studies in 1919 in Paris at the Sorbonne. When Kent Hagerman returned to the United States he (and his brother) established and operated a large engraving company in Denver. He moved permanently to Lakeland, Florida in 1933 and during the following years created many fine etchings depicting the people and places of that state. The large majority of Kent Hagerman's etchings are not dated. His early work, however, is signed with his given name, "William Kay Hagerman". Around 1940 he began signing his etchings with his preferred name of "Kent Hagerman". Today the etchings of Kent Hagerman are included in the following collections; Polk Museum of Art, Lakeland, Florida, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Georgetown University. The Fairchild C-119 nicknamed "Flying Boxcar" was an American millitary transport aircraft designed to carry cargo, personnel, and mechanical equipment and also drop cargo and troops by parachute. The first aircraft rolled out in 1947 and when production seized in 1955 more that 1100 of the aircraft had been built. Please look at all of the pictures as they are part of the description. So don't wait to bid. So often bidders are disappointed when they get "locked out" of an auction before it closed because ebay was sluggish or power went down due to system overload or a virus, especially at peak times, OR they even just got SNIPED! There is a way to prevent this from happening to you! The best prevention is to let the computer do your bidding! When you bid on an item, rather than placing the minimum bid, place a bid that represents the highest amount you're willing to pay for that item. The computer will take over from there and automatically place counterbids in your name, AND ONLY up to the amount you specified in your bid. This is called "proxy bidding" and is a great feature of ebay auctions. It helps prevent bidder's remorse and assures you of being the winning bidder if there is a tie bid since the earliest bid wins. I do this myself when I am bidding on items on ebay.
