Description: For sale is an Original Aimpoint 5000 from the early 1990s, the most common Red Dot Sight in 1990s US special operations and Operation Gothic Serpent in 1993 Mogadishu, the historic event depicted in the popular movie "Black Hawk Down (2001)". The Aimpoint 5000 was adopted for service in 1991, whereas the Aimpoint CompM2 depicted in the movie was not adopted until 2000.This is the original 3 MoA model with an bright and crisp red dot. It is mounted with two original 30 mm scope rings and will fit on any weaver/picatinny rail. The scope is tested and fully working. See pictures. Lenses are clear and in very good condition. It is normally powered by the CR1/3N and DL1/3N batteries. However, in a pinch, you can use two common 357/303, or LR44 "button cell" batteries instead.
