Scrimshaw is one of the oldest forms of art where you scratch or poke tiny holes with a very sharp tool into a surface and then fill in the area with ink or pain. The micarta is a much warmer color than pictured, and try as I may, I just can't capture the detail in it. A display made of mahogany (I think) is included.
