Description: NAMED WWII goatskin M422A U.S.M.C. Flight Jacket in a size 42 Regular. The leather is still pliable but a little stiff (not brittle and cracking tho)... I used to wear this one until I outgrew it. Found at a local thrift store in Dallas, Texas. Named to Marine 1st Lt. Eugene Feid... there is very little information that I could find other than the screenshot I have included from the Marine Corps Muster Rolls from October 1942. Overall this jacket is in absolutely beautiful condition except for a couple moth holes in the wool knit cuff and waistband. For whatever reason, the manufacturer's label was removed (not by me)... I've been told that is a common practice by thrift stores when selling government apparel. There are NO labels or tags under the pocket flaps that would indicate who the manufacture was. This is NOT being sold as an original as some might think but solely for the purpose of wearing because there is a lot of life left in this jacket and winter is just around the corner... so now is the time to buy! NOTE: I HAVE RECEIVED A COUPLE EMAILS FROM MEMBERS STATING THAT THERE ARE CERTAIN DETAILS ABOUT THIS JACKET THAT MAKE THEM BELIEVE IT MIGHT BE AN OLDER EASTMAN MANUFACTURED JACKET. I HAVE LOWERED THE PRICE TO REFLECT THIS. EITHER WAY IT IS A BEAUTIFUL JACKET, VURTUALLY NEW AND HAS A LOT OF WEAR LEFT IN IT Please ask ALL questions prior to bidding. Be sure to check out my other listings as well and as always, GungHo Militaria appreciates your business!! Thank you for checking out our listing and happy shopping!
