Description: Here is a great condition rebuilt OEM. governor for an early Ford 9N tractor with the oil line hookup. These were used for the first years of production during 1940 & 1941. If you are restoring or just repairing one of these great tractors, now is your chance for a great condition unit that doesn't show up too often. The internal bearings were replaced along with the governor balls and control shaft seal. All the other items were checked for wear and factory tolerances were reset. The external case mounting face was flat ground to prevent leakage. Paint was striped and it is primed to allow your finish coat of paint to stick better. Included is a new gasket and a scanned copy on CD of serval N series tractor repair manuals. Among them is the Ferguson systems, Maintenance & Repair of The Governor and Control Linkage. This has all the instructions and trouble shooting you will need to set factory speeds and linkage settings. This is a very good book to have if you have a N tractor. Don't be fooled into going with one of those cheap china copies! They are flooding the market right now and all are made of soft and thin materials that are out of spec. brand new. They WILL NOT work or last! You will be just throwing your money away and shopping once again. The only good replacement governors available are made by TISCO and Rebuilt OEM.
