Description: LITHOGRAPH DESCRIPTION This is an original lithograph of American lumberjack PAUL BUNYAN by William Gropper. This unframed litho measures 11 inches in width, 17 inches in height. William Gropper (December 3, 1897 – January 3, 1977) was an American painter, lithographer, cartoonist and muralist. He is best known for American folklore and political art. WHERE DID IT COME FROM? My parents owned a successful international art company in New York for decades. I was most fortunate to grow up in the same small town in New York as Bill Gropper where he raised his family. My dad and Bill were friends and I visited Mr. Gropper in his home with my father numerous times. In fact, I clearly remember an ENORMOUS painted mural of Paul Bunyan by Mr. Gropper that graced an entire living room wall. WHY MUCH LESS ($) THAN OTHER SELLERS?My parents, working with many international and American artists like Gropper, strongly believed that good, original art should be accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy. So they priced their inventory very fairly. In that tradition, the price for this art is very reasonable. And it includes FREE SHIPPING in the US.
