Imperial Russian Silver Gilt and Cloisonné Enamel Serving Spoon by famous Pavel Ovchinnikov, Moscow, circa 1890, made by one of the most famous Russian silversmith Pavel Ovchinnikov. The company was established in 1853, later became the official supplier of the Imperial Court, and was closed after the 1917 revolution. Original antique Imperial Russian silver champlevé enamel spoon, the polychrome enameled foliate and geometric decoration marked with '84' Moscow silver mark “PO” Pavel Ovchinnikov. Good condition consistent with age & use. Please, look at the pictures as they are part of the description.The scrolling enamel design is set against a stippled gilded ground. The handle wrapped with additional enamel highlights. Antique Pre 1898 Russia Gilded 84 Silver & Enamel Spoon. Dimensions: Spoon measures approximately 5 3/8" long with a bowl measuring approximately 1 1/16" wide. Hallmarks: Marked with pre-1898 Moscow city mark and "84"silver standard. There are two additional maker's and assayer marks 'A.K' in Cyrillic. There is also a small round bird stamp which might be another country's import stamp. Please see pictures for all markings.
