Description: Handsome little oxblood red vase. Signed on the base with a date of 1970. I cannot make the signature out. It was purchased from a high end Boston area auction house in one of their Asian auctions. The form and the way it’s signed don’t make it look very Chinese but I believe it’s inspired by Chinese oxblood flambé pieces. It was purchased in an auction lot of similar pieces. The owners collection was almost entirely Chinese and Japanese porcelain and pottery. So I believe the former owner liked this vase because it fit in well aesthetically with their Asian pieces. Height is approximately 3.5” and condition is excellent. Ships ASAP! Thanks Final couple photos show this vase next to another vase that came in the same lot. This shows the owners intention of putting together pottery with similar glazed imo. This listing is only for the short oxblood vase.
