Description: Great looking pair of Grand Tour Pompeian style Ewers on black marble bases. Dark bronze color patina. Measures 11” to top of handle and 3 3/4 width of base. This is whats known in antiquity as a “trefoil mouth’’oenochoe. The oinochoe was part of the standard Greek table service for the mixing and serving of wine.
