Description: Offering a pair of NOS heavy solid brass handles for Campaign Chest and similar cases. These are NOT zinc. The handles are unused, still have lacquer finish that gives it a brown cast. The lacquer was intended for storage until the handles were put to use. They are made of three different brass parts and have a brass plate riveted on the back to complete the look and added strength to the handle . They look difficult to mortise into the case, but it is really a straight forward process. ( Check out the Campaign furniture episode on the PBS series the Woodwright’s Shop that discusses how to cut the mortises.) These original handles are as rare as hen’s teeth and even harder to buy. They attach with slotted brass screws, which aren’t included, but are readily available.
