If you look at the photos provided you will see the attention to detail within the brass hardware and accents as well as the beautiful grain within the wood! The tables are also stamped "Made in France" to the underside of the pieces. The tops to these end tables have been professionally french polished, a lost art that has been used since the 18th century to put finishes on furniture! This extremely time consuming process consists of putting 10-20 hand done coats of polish with time in between each coat to allow for drying. After all of the coats are done the tops are then hand burnished to create a glass like finish. One nice thing about this pair is their ability to not only be used in a variety of areas such as your living room, bedroom, office, or entryway as end tables but they could also be used as low nightstands as they do have a single spacious drawer on each of the pair.
