Description: Great looking Panasonic RX-5100, working condition in need of some work. Please read all notes below. This is as loud a boom box as I've used. Radio works great and all volume, tone, level lights, selector switches work as expected. The antenna was broken and had a lesser one attached to replace. This works but is not original and does not lay flat. The power cord is included and in good working condition. Runs just as well on batteries. Battery compartment is clean. The foam glued to the battery cover has deteriorated. All tape buttons work (eject, play, FF, etc) The tape cover has one broken plastic peg broken so it ejects/opens a bit wonky but causes no issues. ** I believe there is bad ground or circuit in the tape player. When tape is played there is a loud electronic pulsing noise that is far louder than the music from the tape itself. So you can not really use the tape player in current condition. This issue does not occur with the radio. No visible cracks or breaks in the outside of the boom box outside of what's described above. There are some scratches and wear marks (as shown in photos) but less than one would expect for a vintage well used piece. Weighs about 12 pounds with no batteries. Super cool looking boom box. Sold as is. No returns.
