Pedal Steel Guitar Awesome HAL RUGG 1979 Concert

Description: This you are going to enjoy! You will think you are sitting on the front row, you'll be that close. Here is another chance to hear Hal Rugg's brilliance & artistry. He is backed by great musicians and the bass player was a Nashville session man. This is one heckuva listening experience (imhbao). Two CD's, 21 tunes and over 1-1/2 hrs of ear candy. Yeah, it has singers (3) so you can hear backup like you want it to be heard. Even has banjo & fiddle in there. Unrehearsed as always, everyone smokes! Hal does the Loretta Lynn Medley... CD's were made from the original cassettes, great clean & clear sound. The guitar that was used that day, P/P, Birdseye w/aluminum necks, Peavey session 400, Herzog Distortion pre-amp, 6-24-79. (Bonus listening included with this concert). Titles of cuts are as shown. This is audio CD (2), not DVD. You folks who get the Wiburn Brothers Show are very fortunate to witness the work of Hal along with Buddy Spicher. What a great complement to each other & to the show. One thing I would like to mention about the steel HAl played for years, he having started with Emmons Co in '72. The birdseye was mechanically unlike any steel I had seen underneath. It was a stroke of genius in the way the leverages, fulcrums, pivot points & all parts were configured to make it feel & play like an absolute dream. Hal was a master technician & mechanic, to say the least. The downside is that had I taken the pictures I should have, or hung on to it, well you can figure the rest, we'd be converting some steels over to that system today. If you want a pure P/P tone then this concert is your cup of tea, BIG Time. Fantastic music! You just can't ask for any better than this!
