DJ has a .5' x 1' chip at head of spine, two other short chips and some light rubbing to extremities, some light soiling to rear white portion, head of flap hinges tape-reinforced, otherwise very bright and attractive in mylar wrap. NEAR FINE / Very Good. "Comedy deals with that portion of our suffering that is exempt from tragedy." An excellent copy of De Vries's third novel, scarce in any state, a satirical novel of political, academic, and family life.
