Description: I have been a rock hound for about 55 years, and have a wide variety of different stones, and slabs. I purchased a retail rock shop, that was in business for about 50 years, and then the owner passed away. That was in about 1975. Since then I have collected about another 35 Tons of material, most of it from my claim of 20 years at Graveyard Point. I will have a lot of different stones and slabs that I will be selling. Thanks for looking. Really nice sample of petrified wood. Unique pattern on the outsideComplete solid Tempskya Fern Petrified Wood Burl. Cross section of the trunk. Found near Sumpter Oregon. One of the only places in the world where it is found. Very rare Specimen. Not slabbed, but face cut to show the internal structure of the Fern Wood.I call it the brain petrified wood, as the outside of the stone looks somewhat Like brain matter in design, not grey color. Has a nice yellowish to orangish color to it. Very solid Agate material. Look closely at the photos, and you will see the interesting pattern design of the Fern Tree.Approximately 10.70 Pounds. Very large specimen for this material.
