Description: Antique 1880's - 1905 Pewter Pitcher with Lid This lidded Pitcher with strainer in spout (see photos) might have had several uses. the strainer and spout that comes off high from the vessel speaks to a chocolate pot or tea leaf catcher. Early American LB L.B. Smith Antique. It was owned by my great grandparents and was well used. Provenance: This was owned by my great grandparents. It has been safely packed up since the 1950's and unfortunately forgotten until my parents recently moved and was found again. It is time for someone to cherish this again like it had been in the past. Dimensions: 9" tall and 6" wide Condition: Very nice but not perfect as seen in the detailed photos. It is solid pewter and marked on bottom. This pitcher has an Internal Strainer in the spout which comes off high on the vessel. The lid fits securely, the handle is solid and without shake. The mark on the bottom reads Early American Pewter LB See photos. There are surface scuffs, some areas of remaining adhesive from a tag (can be removed with proper solvent) and a couple small dents.
