The Cadburys also provided various sport and recreation areas for the benefit of their workforce. Separate mens and girls recreation grounds were laid out - the girls recreation ground to the south of Bournville Lane, being derived from the pre-existing grounds of Bournbrook Hall. Adjacent to the private Cadbury Club, the recreation ground is on Cadburys land, rather than being owned by Bournville Village Trust, but is open to the public.
