During the reign of King Chulalongkorn, who visited Suphan Buri on October 19, 1908, it was mentioned about Wat Ban Krang that "This pavilion is located in Tambon Ban Krang, near the Si Prachan District Office on the east side, opposite the temple of the same name. There is a chedi in the middle of the water, a twelve-wooden chedi, on the side of a large shack. It is said that it is a place where the people gather to worship the Buddha every year."Important buildings include the Ubosot and the Vihara, built in the Ayutthaya period. Inside the Ubosot is a large principal Buddha image in the U Thong style. The sema stones around the Ubosot were created from replicas of the large Phra Wat Krang Buddha image in the Songphon style, which were made to be the same size as the sema stones. Inside the Vihara is Luang Pho Kaew and the principal Buddha image. Next to it is the pavilion, inside which is a replica of the Buddha's footprint, built in 1933. Behind the Vihara is a newly renovated pagoda, built to enshrine the Wat Ban Krang family of amulets (Khun Phaen amulets). Inside the pagoda, 20-30 bronze Buddha images were found, as well as amulets made of green glass. In addition, there is a large statue of King Naresuan the Great pouring holy water to declare independence, carved from a teak tree. The Khun Phaen amulet crypt in Ban Krang is famous for being an Ayutthaya-style baked clay amulet, believed to be safe and invulnerable. It is assumed that It was likely built after the war between King Naresuan the Great and the Crown Prince. When the army was returning through Si Prachan District, they rested on the bank of the Suphan Buri River. He ordered his soldiers to make amulets, said to have numbered as many as 84,000, and placed them in the crypt at Wat Ban Krang.
