Description: Thank you for visiting Shanna's Attic. Genuine NASA Space shuttle flown fabric. This swatch of fabric and threads is from a padded panel that was on the space Shuttle Columbia during flight STS-87 in 1997. The cushioning was used inside the shuttle by the crew during their 2 week space mission. Purchased at an official NASA auction. The Columbia was lost in 2003 with all hands. One display case per bid. Gem jar measures ~3cm wide. This listing is part of a new line we are introducing 'A Piece of History'. Each will represent a genuine relic from history, often taken from a larger piece. Each will come with a colour 4x6 inch information card that will include any COAs that came with the item when it was purchased. This will allow you to keep track of the provenance of each item.
